The IMMUVIEW® S. pneumoniae and L. pneumophila Urinary Antigen Test is an in vitro, rapid, lateral flow test, intended for the qualitative detection of Streptococcus pneumoniae and Legionella pneumophila antigens in urine specimens from patients with symptoms of pneumonia. The assay is further intended to aid in the diagnosis of S. pneumoniae infections by detection of S. pneumoniae antigen in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).

  1. The control line appears at top of the strip.
  2. A positive result for L. pneumophila will produce a blue line in the middle of the strip.​
  3. A positive result for S. pneumoniae will produce a pink/red line at the bottom of the strip.​
